Alright. Prepare to be inundated with photos. I usually have to narrow down the photos I add into my posts, but this time, I couldn’t resist including many, or most, of them.
We drove back into Tulsa from Austin Sunday night. We didn’t get in until after midnight, and we were barely awake when we arrived. But the fun hangover and extreme exhaustion we felt yesterday was well worth all of the fun we had. We met about 6 of our friends in Austin Friday, and we all stayed at a little 3 bedroom bungalow that we rented on the west side of town. When Connor and I arrived first, we were surprised to find that the house, that a friend of mine found on Air BnB, eclectic enough on the inside, was also a working food co-op, complete with a garden, chickens and ducks. The owner later told us that the urban garden feeds 11 families! 
It was so nice to spend time with my best girlfriends. I have been friends with 3 of the girls who were there this weekend for 10 years, and the 4th for about 7 or 8. They mean the world to me, and whenever we are together, we laugh the whole time. It was amazing, therapeutic and, of course, a blast.

The next day, we slept in a little late, then went to a late breakfast at Guero’s on South Congress, an area that has blown up in the last 5 to 6 years. Guero’s has been a staple on SoCo for about 18 years. The feed store turned taco bar sits right in the heart of South Congress, in a building from the 1800′s. And the food is delicious (as well as the margaritas!) A few Austin friends joined us, too.
Later that night was the wedding, so we had to rush back to the house, wash the tequila off of us, and get dressed up for the event. The wedding was at the Rockin’ Y Ranch, a really cool urban ranch about 15 minutes outside of the city in the hills of Austin. It was an outdoor wedding, and the invitation said “Bows and Bow Ties Encouraged”, so of course…
…we had to get Connor an awesome bow tie, a la Brooks Brothers. He looked adorable. He also wore a linen suit from J Crew. He was so handsome!
I found a really cute pin striped dress from Banana Republic and coordinated my accessories with Connor’s bow tie – this leather green belt is also from BR. All the ladies looked gorgeous, and we took plenty of opportunities to take photos. 
I’m the giant on the far right. My tiny girlfriends always make me look like an amazon. The wedding was unbelievably adorable. Every detail was perfect, which is no surprise because the bride is a very crafty lady! The guest book area was set up under an old tree where they had suspended a large frame and provided an Instax camera for guests to take photos of themselves and leave them in the guest book. Cutest idea ever!!!!
The bride also attached handkerchiefs to each of the programs. GAH! We finally got a photo with her at the end of the night (above photo).
After the wedding, we did a quick costume change and went to Javelina Bar on Rainey Street, a newly developed strip of awesome restaurants and bars.

This place is so delicious – they describe their food as Modern Mexican Cuisine. Whatever it is, I like it. And the tequila cocktails all come with some form of delicious infused salt. To die for. I couldn’t end this post without a photo of the famous Willie Nelson sculpture that sits in downtown Austin. Or my beautiful friend Treasure (pictured above). What an awesome weekend. Austin. I love you. You are one of the reasons I miss Texas so much.
